A nice day since yesterday night...

Met up with SIM friends for a friend's gathering....
had mushroom pot...v ex..not worth it..
but had fun meeting up with friends...after that started walking aimlessly up and down orchard road looking for stuff to do..
saw linda..ex sushi tei staff..she tot im working as supervisor at sushi tei...
saw desmond n raymond from TP too..

today dad send me to mom's work place so we can buy fengshui stuff..
speaking of mom..yesterday afternoon my mom received a phonecall claiming to be my sis..crying for help as she got bullied by people..
my mom was so worried..feel like punching that girl ...then my mom msg both of us to see if we are ok..my dad also msg..feels nice to know they care anyway..
i DO know they care.
anyway..after that had lunch and went PS to go DAISO..after that meet twig ..supposed to go HORTPARK and walk around..in the end went Dynasty and sing ktv for 3 hours..for 12.50 bucks..cheap right? walked again to Ms clarity cafe..
ate baked pasta..cheese fries..and bread and pudding..i LOVE the cheese fries.

It really feels like a long weekend to me..cos these few days..had been taking leisurely strolls ...walking without a destination..without having to rush to somewhere...feels very nice...
shall try to walk like this more often..:P

weddings

wonder what is happening with people nowadays..
holding weddings at chalets..
if i am broke...i rather dun hold anything and dun expect ang bao..
if i hold a event to celebrate my wedding..
i will hold it in a function room, both food and environment is nice and comfortable..
sometimes i find that those who hold it in chalets is to get red packets from guests..
i know i might sound harsh and rude but this is my way of thinking..
i even got a friend who is teacher who held her ROM at chalet..at least hers is the big chalet one..aloha loyang..2 storeys..no comments about the ones at costa sands one..

went batam for a short weekend getaway..very relaxed..
but not as relaxed as desaru..
maybe cos batam got place to shop..

Dinner and dance for my full time job, at Suntec..have to wear Orange as we are in the Mercedez Team
quite enjoyable as Mark Lee was one of the emcees..and kumar made a special appearance.
Very entertaining..too bad I never win any lucky draw prizes..
Had difficulties heading home as there were alot of people..200 tables...

Might be my last dinner for my part time job..could have been my 4th dinner with them if last year I did not sprain my ankle..
regret not going..
anyway..realised i know a lot of people although I only work at SG and Taka..
cos some of them transferred to other outlets too.
I missed all of them even though Im at Taka already.
I do miss my SG colleagues..but things have changed.
I do not know what's my motivation anymore..Do not even know if im motivated to work there anymore..
alot of people quit already..
when will it be my turn?

bought a hamster cage from my neighbourhood..only 5 bucks..
then saw this big crowd at the field opposite the polyclinic..
at first i thought its a malay cultural thingy..
but after checking out the Internet..it is actually javanese..

horse trance dance..
Among the traditional dances of Java are a number of trance dances. Kuda Lemping (or Lémpéng but often misspelled Lumping so non-Indonesians will know how to pronounce it) is one of these trance dances, in which masks for spirit characters and flat woven bamboo horses are the main props. The dance is about the battle of good and evil, with the horse riding characters going into a trance where they behave like horses. The name Kuda Lemping literally means "flat horses."

anyway..it was pretty scary whenever they came near the crowd..all of the people will
quickly rush to the opposite side..cos they are really in trance..they don't care about the traffic...will just dash out to the road irregardless of safety..
will use head to break glasses..
jump hard onto a floor with broken glasses..
use teeth to 'peel' a coconut..
and there were 'guards' & 'guardians' to prevent them from getting hurt..and prevent us from getting hurt too..
it was quite scary when one suddenly was chasing me cos of the hamster cage i think..
maybe he smelt something..animal smell or something..

Cosfest 2008

Went to downtown east last weekend for COSFEST 2008.
It was really an eye opener as I never attended one before...
anyway..downtown east changed so much..
got shopping mall n a ferris wheel inside..
somehow makes me think of Tokyo...:(

It's been a month of training for me..
tmw will start taking calls..
hope everything goes well..
waiting for the day my probation is over and I can take leave and enjoy..Yay!

just came back from desaru....its a 2 day 1 night trip..though short ...its fun to hang out with friends...just sleep..chat...suntanning..swimming..picking shells...

busy busy me...

Into my 2nd week into the company.....
so far so good..just feel like im attending lectures all over again..
now should be my 'slack' period in my job as me and my colleagues get to have 1.5 hrs lunch..
all will be over soon next week...i dun want!!!

My grandmother...

My grandmother married early at the age of 16...
unfortunately..my grandfather passed away early and she had to raised 9 kids on her own...



She took care of me for a few years....the younger baby was me...



In primary school, she would always give me alot of pocket money ...every night before school she will stuff alot of coins in my purse...for which i am really grateful..cos
last time kids' pocket money is only 1 buck or less...i will always have more than 2 bucks every day...
because of me....she fell down on her way to fetch me from Sports Day.. and could not walk for weeks..was wheel chair bound...our house was so inconvenient for her as there is no elevator...

A few years later...she went back to malaysia to take care of other grandchildren..

the last photo I took with her was this year Chinese New Year...






but just got back from her funeral yesterday...which was only a short 3 days...

I must say she had a wonderful 82 years....managed to live long enough to see great grandchildren...

just went to Telok Intan, Perak to visit my mom's mom...who is ill...
dont even know if she recognise me or any of us or not..
She is 82....I hope she can live another 10 more years...
my mom was trying hard not to cry...so did I..
do not even know if she is getting better or not..
All i pray is..whatever happens...she will not be in pain..
She used to hold my hand.....now I have to hold hers....cos she is not holding mine anymore..

looking at her made me realise that
In the end, it is not the amount of money you earn,
neither are the memories one have...
Instead it is how people remember you by that really matters...

I saw Gary Cao Ge Live Yesterday!

At Ngee Ann City..they were having this I weekly/8 Days events..
there were other singers too..but dunno who are they..
Cao Ge was the finale..
He started with 3-7-21, then a funny funny song..which I dunno the title..
Then after that with Betrayal...
with an ENCORE of Single Number then Frank's Sinatra of My Way...Duet Style..
He is so good!!!
The female part really sounded female..
Streetfest is today....but stupid pig don't want to bring me..

I just want to concentrate on finding a job...the rest of the issues....just throw behind me for now....I do not want you to wait any longer...I do not want you to waste your time any longer...

CHARACTERS of course..haha..today going to blog about my favourite hunks n heroes
as i hv just watching 斗牛要不要 and 淫野3+1 so you can guess a little of my favourites!

1) Li Syaoran (Shao-ran)


When I was young...just started watching cardcaptor sakura..
I liked Syaoran....maybe cos of the way he treats Sakura..ok I realised I liked a lot of these characters cos of the way they treat the females leads...and their ability to protect the the girls they like - using superpowers of course...that is why they are so unrealistic.

2) Valerian - from a series of Vampire books from Linda Lael Miller..
He is a vampire....who is perfect except for the fact that he cannot go out into the sun in the day...and sucks blood at night..

3) Edward Cullen - from Twilight series of books...
A vampire too...who is forever 17...can read minds....runs fast without panting...ABLE to go out in the day...just not under direct sunlight as he will glitter and humans will scream..

4) Night Tenjo...from Absolute Boyfriend manga (zettai kareshi)


cool, calm and collected...Will always cry after reading finish the manga...very sad!He is so nice...but not human..sian..a robot..but looks just like a human..

5) ok..now come to real humans..only one so far..

mingdao of 183 club.!! eh..with qiaoen here..haha..i still like them together the best..
I like his travel show..like his dramas..like his acting..to me..i find that in real life..his behaviour is also the same as those dramas..sigh..

ok..that's all..like to congratulate my niece...who is called Jie Ling..for winning the young author's price..and got her mini book published!

27 March 2007 - Thursday

Didn't even sleep that night as my flight was at 6am. Would like to thank my parents as they woke up at 330am to send me to the airport. Was asleep as soon as we board the flight. However, when I woke up - which was like an hour plus later..we were still on the ground. Finally took off at 7plus. Reached Narita Airport at 330pm. (Tokyo time)



took a train to Shinjuku.It was an hour's train ride to Shinjuku...and we were walking round and round the whole area to find Siena Hotel which we stayed for 6 nights. The room was great! With alot of Shiseido & Kanebo toiletries. The toilet bowl got seat warmer and there are buttons on it you can press to wash your butt using spray mode or trickle mode. can even adjust the temperature of the water.

It was very dark when we went around the hotel although it was only 7plus pm. Had a dinner of Charshu Ramen for 500yen while standing up and eat. Most of the shops close at 8-9pm. but not the arcades & UFO catchers!



Caught the Rillakumar bear for 1000yen (aft numerous times) which was around 14 sing. the cute thing about this bear is that it can walk when its left hand is pressed. Caught the rabbit for 500yen. The rabbit is called Love-Chan, created by Ai Otsuka, a japanese singer. Caught some aikipara (those on top of the bear) for 100 yen. 3 of them. Of course, these stuff toys are not caught all in one day. But i do admit i spent alot of my money on the UFO catchers. So addictive!

Had Gyu-Don at Yoshinoya for breakfast. They only sell beef and pork there. Plus salmon shio. nice..had alot of meals at yoshinoya as it is cheap. around 330yen (4plus sing) Add raw egg with the gyu don even nicer...unlike the raw eggs in singapore, their eggs do not have a certain smell, which makes me able to eat it without puking..:)
Went to Tokyo dome so that Sam can collect his X Japan concert ticket. Spend a few hours there as he wants to buy their merchandise as well..

after that went to Ginza...which we have to change trains at ochanomizu...


apparently there was nothing much at Ginza,went to Burberry Blue Label Store to get a wallet for mum..about 200plus..which is cheap for burberry i guess..but better deal is blue label series can only be found in Japan..tried on a burberry skirt..300plus..got this floaty feeling..very nice..regret not buying..as i kept thinking about it even until now..after that went back so went back to Shinjuku..went to Tokyu Hands..where I saw Lesportsac bags...real ones..for 100plus sing...is it cheap? I never buy. Bought some handphone stickers for myself and some souvenirs...

one thing i like about shopping in Japan is that the service staff are very nice..instead of passing u the stuff over the counter..they walked round the counter after every transaction to give you the stuff..
those wearing makeup can also try on clothes as there is this makeup protector paper..you cover your face with so the makeup will not dirty the clothes

one thing very troublesome about trying on clothes in japan is..you have to remove your footwear before entering the fitting room.

Went to OIYOUNG (Pronounced Marui Young) about 10 mins from the hotel. Never expect to find whatever I have seen online in one shopping mall!!! It is the best place ever ..so convenient to find all those big punk, gothic, lolita brands all in one place.
Bought a suspender skirt from Algonquins...very nice...

the bottom layer can be detached...so are the suspenders..don't ask me about the price..

wanted to buy a corset too...very nice..purple with black lace..abit gothic la..but i think one big exp buy is enough..

after dropping the shopping back at the hotel...

Takeshita Dori...where shopping is much cheaper than other places..its like Bugis Village..but better!
It's very crowded there as it is a weekend..Bought a black dress with kitty prints...and jacket with kitty prints too and a pink n black belt!..from the same shop..haha..its called ACDC shop or something like that.got alot of chain stores around there.. i like alot of clothes there...too bad for the lack of funds..

As there is a convenience store near our hotel..we would always buy snacks to eat back in our hotel..apparently..the dinner of the usual soba or udon is only filling for awhile due to the coldness i guess...

Big day for Sam as it was the last night of the X Japan concert he was attending..which also means I was alone for 5-6 hours..

Shopped at La Qua for awhile..went to the arcade and see the UFO catchers of course..shopped at a nearby shopping mall as well..finally started buying stuff at Uniqlo...similar to Giordano..bought a shirt for office work next time..and some clothes for my family..have to use my debit card..when all the shops closed at 9..luckily i collected enough brochures and free magazines to browse while waiting..was raining and so cold..thank goodness for warm can drinks from the vending machines..

I love to stay in Shinjuku..cos their shops open till later..plus I can only find UFO catchers in Shinjuku & Akihabara..and of course..more food shops...and more shopping of unique stuff...there is this shop..which i forgot the name..let me call is ABC store..I swear it sells almost anything and everything u can think of. From branded stuff..(real ones) to stuff you might buy at pasar malam..like normal shirts..socks..and they sell pyjamas..costumes like doraemon or maid..its so cool..oh ya..they also sell kitchen appliances..luggages..food..toiletries...i can only say Wow!

Woke up abit later than the usual 8am..due to a happening night yesterday for you know who..ate at yoshinoya i think..i forgot..but I think I can eat Yoshinoya 3 meals a day..its nice..
went to asakusa...where alot of tourists will be..
the view there is very nice...went to get a fortune..is that wat it is called? for 100 yen...say I got bad luck basically..sigh..which is true ba..
had some taiyaki...and sakura flavoured dango (rice balls) very nice..but i think the sakura too sweet ba..






after that went to Asahi building..notice the building which looks like a foaming beer mug?

had some drinks and snacks there..at the 20th floor i think..nice view..can see mount fuji..

finally..after bugging sam about tokyo tower all the while during the trip...


a trip to tokyo tower is very impt to me..although I did not go up..i think it is still a good place to visit due to numerous appearances in cardcaptor sakura..and some dramas..

Happy April Fool's day!
Finally managed to wake up early to go to Tsukiji fish market..which is around 4am..but by the time we reached there...i think the busiest period was already over..we reached at 6am.
saw big tuna fishes being cart around ....
saw a wierd fish which we asked a chef...its called yagara..


too bad the..eh..beak of the yagara is broken..

most exp meal for us ever for this trip..

all maguro set...otoro..maguro..cool..without the wasabi better though..around 50-60plus sing..

wanted to eat Una don..(unagi with rice..sea eel) however was too full ...too bad..never get to eat unagi this trip...dun under estimate the sushi set..i surprised too..

after that went to...



Pokemon center...it only opens at 11am (we were there at 8plus am)..as I was very sleepy..I napped for an hour at
the sitting area at the basement of the building..thanks for waiting patiently for me while I sleep..
after that went to a nearby park as it was still early..have to pay an admission fee of 2 bucks sing...not that we mind..it was beautiful..




back to pokemon center...


after that went to Shibuya...as I heard lots of nice things about it..being fashionable and stuff...but then i see the prices i wanna faint also...the clothes are nice...but..as i said..one exp buy is enough..

then went to Daikanyama...where i got my early birthday present..

2 April 2008 Wednesday...

decided to extend our checkout time for another 30plus sing...able to check out at 6pm..but we checked out at 3plus as our flight is at 7pm...
went to akihabara again to buy stuff we missed out...
bought lunch at a bento store to bring back to the hotel to eat..was actually able to get back earlier to pack..however was searching for a place that sells una don..sob sob..it was not open yet..when we finally finish eating and packing and checking out..we only got 10 mins to catch the train..how nice..took a cab...we were just in time to see our train left before our very eyes..
had to pay additional money for the next train despite it being very empty...
