Tokyo Trip 2009

I should do justice to my Tokyo Trip by blogging properly about it.

2nd May 2009
Reached Changi Airport Terminal 1 at 8am, went inside the departure hall at 8.05am, no queue at Cathay Pacific..so good.
Saw this while walking around

It's a FOC mobilephone charger, with chargers from various brands of HPs..u just put your phone inside one of those small compartment and locked it. Remember to collect it before you board the plane though..

Reached HK airport 15 mins early at 1.45pm, however, i was lost and do not know where to board the next plane to Narita. Got help from a customer service officer, who advised me to take a shorter queue to get past security. By the time i reached the correct gate, it was the final call to board the plane, thank goodness.

Finally reached Narita airport half an hour early..at 8.00pm TYO time (SIN time 8.30pm). Have to go through swine flu inspection check, which caused me to cross the custom only at 10pm. Took quite long to ponder which JR line should take as different trains going to different places also uses the same track, finally took the last train at 10.30pm and only reached Asakusabashi Station at 11.30pm. Luckily I smsed bf to wait for me at the train station, otherwise by the time i find my way to the hostel (which is a mere 1 min walk away) it will be past midnight already.
When I finally arrived, we went to Mini Stop convenience store to have dinner..i quite like convenience store food, but somehow, I find that Shinjuku's convenience stores got more stuff..

Next post will be out soon! Meanwhile can take a look at my facebook for photos!

X Japan Live at Tokyo Dome!

Just reached my hostel near Asakusa at 11.30pm last night, only ate a late dinner and went to sleep.

Supposed to go Disneyland myself today, however, bf still did not managed to get ticket to watch X Japan's concert. He decided to went Tokyo Dome to check if anyone selling it. Our whole morning and early afternoon was spent at Akihabara. Spent more than 1500 yen on UFO catcher..haha. I just like the trill of it. A bit of warning here..I might give the things i caught as souvenirs. :)

Just when we were about to go to another UFO catcher place, 2 guys approached us asking if we want to buy X Japan tickets from them. As they are selling 2 tickets together, we decided to go together. According to bf, the ticket price is worth it as the seats were quite good. We bought it for 10000 yen each, original price was 12800 yen.

Japanese fans are more on than Singapore. They dress up as their favourite band members, buy alot of light sticks, always supporting the band by standing up, doing hand actions and singing along..there were more people in Tokyo Dome than our National Day, even the police and public transportation have to work till late.

Have been eating most of my meals at convenience stores so far, but its nice. Still do not have any plans for tomorrow, hopefully can buy some nice clothes though.
Its now 1.05am here, need to finish playing my fb games.

P.S: Finally got tix to Ghibli Museum!!

Books...

I really do not know if it is good that a story have several books in a series or not..
Because they have a few books, I always have to go different libraries very often to go grab them!
After reading the whole series..I am contemplating to buy all 4 books to keep, cos i know i will read them often..

The following is copied from http://www.shannaswendson.com/enchanted.html.
It is only for the 1st book..I love modern magic!! love love..

ENCHANTED, INC is a magical story featuring Katie Chandler, a 20something, small-town Texas girl, who finds that being average in New York City is anything but.

Katie is still adjusting to life in the big city while working a for a nightmare boss when she gets a fantastic offer to work for a mysterious company, MSI, Inc. Through her new job and the magical folk she meets, Katie comes to find out she isn't quite as average as she thought; and the fairy tale life she has longed for begins to come true in surprising ways.

What Katie doesn't realize is how rare and important being ordinary can be. In fact, it is her ordinary characteristics that make her the perfect secret weapon for MSI, Inc. Now she has magicians and fairies meddling in her attempted romances, a secret life she needs to keep hidden from her non-magical friends, not to mention that dangerous pull she feels for Owen, an attractive but shy wizard who might be the most powerful magic man since Merlin.
